About

Growing up in Houston I have always learned to apprecate the cultural diversity in all aspects of life, specially in the arts. Painting has been my way to openly express my emotions whatever they may be and even find peace. All my paintings include an aspect of nature wether it is an animal or a plant nature for me has always represented the ultimate state of inner peace and comfort. Therefore I want my pieces to convey the serenity they bring to me when I am creating them and I want that to be the same feeling others get when they see the finished product. I do focus more on certain details in an effort to make them look more realistc, but in other areas I leave the brush strokes or splatters more noticeable. I like to think of this as the balance between peace and chaos, the parts that have more detailed are more realistic to represent the peace in our soul, while the messier areas convey the more disastrous and chaotic side of our mind and thoughts. I paint a variety of things and I also work on commissions.
