As a Boston born artist raised on Cape Cod, I try to understand the ideas and complications of fears, phobias and anxiety through unplanned pieces to understand where the mind wanders when it’s lost.

Anxiety has been something that has run rampant through my mind long before I even understood what it was. Through my time at the School of Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University it became clear what was running through my mind in a constant loop.

After hitting a block mid way through my third year a professor gave me a recite roll and told me, “Just draw without thought”. So I did. What was born was a culmination of ideas and images that I had no idea were hidden within me.

Using a graphic collection of historical, decorative, biological, and organic hand drawn images I have been recreating digital, fiber, and mixed medium art pieces and film that are tangible for new and modern art goers to experience traditional forms. As an artist being able to share how I feel with others in a way that succeeds when words fail has always been the most important part of my art. The work I make today is created to heal myself and the viewer.
